Minutes of the November Meeting
by Marty Dinerstein - Secretary

The November meeting of Nassau PTG was held on November 14, 2006. Five members and one guest attended. The meeting was held at the Westbury store of Frank & Camille Piano Center. It started at 7 p.m. The minutes were read and the treasurer gave a report.

New Business: We were reminded that our end of year party is on December 5 at the Washington Manor in Roslyn. The cost is $38 per person and you can send payments to Paul Keogler. The menu choices are fish, chicken or vegetarian since the place is a catering place now. The party is at 7 p.m.

We agreed to have Ruth Juhn as our guest.

The business meeting ended at 7:30 pm.

Technical: Our technical was by John Ford. John is the son of the late John Ford who supplied many of us with tools and advice. John, who owns a piano store in Poughkeepsie, recalled some anecdotes about his father. He also told us that his father and grandfather were owners of Mathushek pianos. His father had a way of solving the most difficult problems. He also was very active in PTG and enjoyed coming to talk to chapter memebers about some of the inventions that he had. One of them, the hammer hardener, has been used by many of us. We thank John for coming to see us from so far away. We hope that he will come again soon.

The meeting ended at 8:45 pm
