Minutes of the May Meeting
by Marty Dinerstein - Secretary

The May meeting of Nassau PTG opened at 8 PM. on May 14.  Nine regular members attended and one guest. The previous minutes were read and accepted and a treasurer's report was read by Paul Keogler and accepted. We discussed our budgetary projections for the next year and several points were made. We need more sources of revenue to balance our budget; we have not billed our advertisers this year; we should raise the rates on ads to increase revenue and account for increased mailing costs. We also discussed the delegates to the convention and it was decided to send only Alan this year as Ernie is ill. We will discuss the situation about delegates at a future meeting. We also discussed posting meeting dates on the Internet and having joint meetings with the Suffolk chapter when we have an important speaker. Since our guest for the technical was unable to come, we discussed other issues of importance to the chapter. We also discussed the fact that we may not be able to get a special room for future dinners unless we can guarantee 20 or more people, which we have not been able to do. Mike suggested that we could still meet at a restaurant and have a table with each person paying for his own dinner.
Sad news: A longtime member James Day passed away at age 94. We offer condolences to his family.
