The general meeting for this month will be held on Tuesday, February 16. Please note that this is the third Tuesday of the month, and not our usual meeting date of the second Tuesday.

We are invited to attend a technical presentation by Paul Rea, the national service manager and technician for Petrof USA. Petrof is the largest producer of pianos in Europe, and is still family owned for five generations since 1864. Mr. Rea will discuss the latest changes and design features of their product line.

Mike Slavin brings us this interesting tidbit: When asked how he will know that the recession is over, Clyde Haberman, columnist for the New York Times responded: "when I stop putting up with two malfunctioning keys on my piano and finally call in the tuner."
