The January meeting of Nassau PTG took place on January 10, 2006 at the Westbury store of Steinway Pianos. Our meeting was called to order at 7:15 by President Paul Eccardt. Eight members and one guest attended. We had a secretary's report and a treasurer's report.

New business:

We are still awaiting the decision of the home office about our name change to the "Ernie Juhn Nassau Chapter." Len Genovese has sent the request to our RVP, Paul Kupelian, and it will be on the agenda for the convention in June. The business meeting ended at 7:30 p.m.

Our technical consisted of a general discussion of problems we have encountered in the field. Some of the issues discussed were: tuning an extremely flat piano - should we double tune it? Also, handling complaints relayed by the customer from the music teacher. The discussion was very helpful and provided a means to share our problems and solutions with other technicians. The meeting ended at 9:30 p.m.
