A simple, quick, and effective method to correct a warped keyslip which is binding against the keyfronts, is to tap a large metal thumbtack into the front of the keyframe. Insert it to the depth necessary to achieve adequate clearance. The advantage of this method over using cardboard or front rail punchings as spacers is that the keyframe is only in contact with the polished surface of the thumbtack at one tangential point. This therefore minimizes friction when using the una corda shift pedal. This is thus similar to the use of keyframe glide bolts.
